Following the exciting announcement of our new Principal, Kerrie McDiarmid, St Mary’s is proud to introduce four Deans to the leadership team, heralding in an exciting new era for the prestigious 3-12 boys College.

The new leadership approach is an example of Sydney Catholic Schools’ commitment to collaborative and innovative education that works to meet the needs of students and their communities.
From 2023, St Mary’s is excited to be embracing a liberal arts approach to complement our history as a chorister school with a tradition of academic excellence.
Students who participate in a Liberal Arts education become seekers of truth, critical in their thinking but positive and confident about the contributions they can make to our world.
In a Catholic context, these skills and thinking dispositions value add and transform the human person which underpin the overall purpose of a Catholic education.
Our connection to St Mary’s Cathedral grants us a unique opportunity to bring together the latest teaching with a clear Catholic identity.
Our new leadership team, with a focus on liberal arts, academic excellence, and Catholic values will work with our incoming Principal to ensure the College continues its mission as a leading Catholic boys school in the heart of the city with the learner at the centre of all we do.
The new leadership structure will take effect in 2023.
